This is another Christian Becksvoort design, based on a dining table from a Shaker community. This table is made out of Cherry as many Shaker pieces are, and can be made in a variety of lengths. The one shown here is 9 feet long, I’ve made them down to 6 feet as well. It is a beautiful sturdy trestle table, the trestle design means there is almost no interference with diners legs, so it’s quite efficient - the 9 footer easily seats 10 people. The top has breadboard ends to keep it nice and flat, as well as being aesthetically pleasing.
